At the University of Kentucky, Kappa Alpha Psi rented a house from the University right before the start of the 1980-81 school year. The Phi Beta Sigma chapter did likewise within a month.
Unfortunately, they were part of the fraternity houses (which also included the Alpha Tau Omega, Sigma Phi Epsilon, and Phi Kappa Tau houses) that were torn down to build the new main library. Along with other buildings.
UK is presently developing Greek housing. And my understanding is that the new housing will include NPHC, IFC and NPC chapters.
