we used to have parties at my house. the living room and kitchen were upstairs. so people would go up the dark stairwell and trip over the steps ALL the time! it was the kind that goes up some steps, goes to a landing, then up in the other direction. but on the landing, there was another step in the middle which is where everyone would fall. you'd be in the hallway or something, and hear a big THUNK, and then hear some people laugh. i thought it was hillarious. some people even fell down the stairs in front of the police!
