I seem to remember at least one time where the NPHC groups participated in "Meet the Greeks", the pre-rush event where every group has a table with a display and several members there to talk to the women. Lol, the set up kind of reminded me of a job fair with tables and the girls just going wherever they wanted (although most did do it methodically- went to every table in order). I don't know if any of the multicultural groups participated (of course, to my knowledge, there's only Theta Nu Xi at Pitt).
I know that it's not really the "style" of NPHC rush, but it did at least let the girls know that they were out there.
Also, perhaps the girls didn't really realize that they were "lying".... they may be misinformed or ignorant of the other groups on campus. In which case some sort of all greek event (with at least the leaders of the groups) where the different groups can learn about each other would be beneficial?
