I don't think law schools would care too much at all... I can't imagine why they would care. Law schools are pretty diverse, and the education field in general is pretty liberal.

Now when you go to look for a legal job, I would probably get rid of it. Law is a very conservative field, in general. And even if you get a spacer or something clear, when you're in a close up interview you can still tell something's in their mouth.

One thing that would apply to any situation: if you tend to play with it, click it around in your mouth, etc. I would suggest getting rid of it, because you'll likely do that during your interview, and it's horribly distracting and would be seen as terribly unprofessional. I know not all people with tongue rings do that, but I know quite a few who drive me nuts by playing with it, so be careful.
