My rush crushes all went DG and Theta, I think we only got ONE (who of course had to be my Little).
One lovely, quiet, poised girl came to our last preference party (we did 3 in one night) holding a yellow carnation in a red ribbon meaning that she had Preferenced Chi O (we were allowed to give out small favors back then).
She said she couldn't make up her mind where to go. I was tired and cranky, and she was an archetypal Chi O, and did NOT fit in with us more raucous ASAs. So I said, "Oh, come on. You know EXACTLY where you belong. Don't think too hard, just go with what you have already figured out."
So of course she walks into the suite on bid day as a new ASA, finds me, and give me a big hug "when you said that last night about how I probably already knew where I belonged, it made up my mind for me!"
Yes, and she did become our chapter President, thanks for asking.
