Definitely follow PnguinTrax's advice.
I know for my own sorority it would depend on what her chapter and National's consider her status to be.
For instance, my chapter's policy is that if a member leaves the sorority before completing one fully initiated year as an active member, she'd be EXPELLED from the sorority. So then no, the daughter wouldn't be a legacy. But not every chapter has this policy.
If the woman completes a year, and then leaves on good standing; the daughter may be considered a legacy.
It's all so confusing, especially since we have four different ways to be considered an alumna!
