How bad is the greek system on Oshkosh campus?
I'm mean, that's pretty harsh to automatically place everyone on a two year probation. Seems like a ploy to get all fraternities to get kicked off. With a big group of guys, it's a guarente tha someone will do something stupid...
I'm deeply opposed to deferred rush. I see no reason for it, other than to hurt the greek system. I look at myself as an example. I moved out of my parents house into the dorms, I was just starting ROTC, starting taking engineering classes (with even the first semester classes being 3 years ahead of some of the business class requirments), and I still did fine pledging. I wasn't pulled in too many directions, still had plenty of time to donate to everything I was involved in and pulled a 3.5 GPA.
I could see putting fraternities on probation or deferred rush that were showing poor results, but requiring chapters that are on top of things to do that is ridiculous.
