I have heard of this before. I learned more about it at a Human Sexuality Conference I went to. Apparently they want to feel like they belong to a group of people, and I guess you can get attention from having HIV. They also feel, like they guy said in the article, the HIV is no longer a death sentence, so it's 'safe' to get it now. Sad, sad, sad.
