( Also I really doubt that AMERICA wants 3 Black women to be in the top 3. Last week all the Black folks + Jasmine were safe and that did not sit well at all with AMERICA.

I'm of two minds about it. I think that Ryan et. al. calling them divas did hurt them-- I'm sure people felt that those three would be the top three, and so maybe didn't vote as frantically for them as they might for Jasmine or others who they saw as "in danger". Why else would Jennifer be the very top one week and the bottom the next? Because she sang well one week and avoided the bottom three... thus the next week some of her supporters tried to make sure people like, say, George or Jasmine wouldn't go... and didn't vote for her thinking she was safe.
I'm one fraction of white America (hopefully not in the stupid fraction), and I wouldn't have minded seeing LaToya, Jennifer, Fantasia, and George duking it out in the top four, with maybe Jasmine right behind. I really felt that they were the stronger overall singers the past few weeks. I'd love to see all four of them get record contracts. Well, I kind of hate Fantasia half the time, but I have to admit that she *can* sing, and was blown away by Summertime.
(I like Jasmine okay... And I'd like to see Jon Stevens get a contract too, but singing classic oldies rat pack stuff...!)
I know that George and Jon looked about ready to *sob* when they saw Jennifer go-- same with the other two girls... they knew she was *good*, heck, she *is* good, and that it should have been one of them to go based on this and last week's performances. Hopefully people will remember to vote on talent.
I wonder whether Jennifer's vote will be evenly split between Fantasia, LaToya, and/or George...
