While I will extend the fraternal handclasp of a Mason to anyone who gives the proper signs and tokens of recognition, regardless of whether they are 'mainstream' or PHA; unfortunately in Texas the 'mainstream' (read: predominantly white) grand lodge (The Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Texas, AF & AM) does not recognize any Prince Hall grand lodges, under their rule of 'exclusive territorial jurisdiction'. Which sucks the big one...
Currently 37 out of the 51 'mainstream' grand lodges recognize Prince Hall Freemasonry in some form or other. An outstanding website with all sorts of Masonic information is at
http://bessel.org/masrec/pha.htm .
The 'mainstream' Shrine recognizes the 'Egyptian' (Prince Hall) Shrine but its individual temples are subject to the governing policy of the mainstream Grand Lodge.
