wow, I'm flattered!!!!
okay, so Marlena has been in the hospital, and John has been VERY forgiving. Mostly because (it seems) that Marlena REALLY has no recollection of murdering anyone, or confessing to it! Honestly, it's been pretty tender moments between Marlena and John. Kinda like a love story, if you will.
At one point, Celeste took Marlena's hand to sense if there was evil in her, and Celeste proclaimed that Marlena is innocent!
But of course, she was still in police custody, so they handcuffed her to the bed.
John let Marlena attend Alice and Doug's double funeral, and Abby is like "who let that broad up in this piece? she's the murderer!" (without the slang, of course) Julie was incredibly upset by her presence, and she tries to strangle her. (Julie also tried to strangle Bonnie last week, after she rode a malfunctioning mechanical bull -- don't ask.)
So Marlena was like "Oh my gosh, i didn't kill those people, I loved Alice and Doug!" and Bo is all "You're the killer and you know it and we're gonna send you to the gas chamber!"
(First of all, Bo-zo is a horrible cop! Second of all, once upon a time, Salem didn't even have the death penalty. But anyway....)
So back at the hospital, John is like "well honey, you COULD be possessed again!" and Marlena is like "oh my gosh"....so Marlena has the FUNNIEST dream ever. John comes in with some pea soup and Marlena is like cussin at him and whatnot in her demon voice, and she pukes all this pea soup on him from across the room! It was HILARIOUS! Her eyes were all yellow and stuff, too. Then LASER BEAMS shoot from her eyes and break the handcuffs on the hospital bed. Then she FLIES ACROSS THE ROOM and chokes John out! FUNNY! But of course, she woke up.
Next, John calls Father Jansen. (Remember Father Francis, the little elf of a man who did the first exorcism? Let's pour a little liquor our for Father Francis.) So Father Jansen brings Marlena into the chapel with John, Bo-Zo, Hopeless, Shawn-Dorklass, and the hussy Belle. (Oh yeah, Belle and Shawn broke up cuz Belle lied to him about Marlena's whereabouts the night Doug was killed....had she not lied, Shawn would have continued to suspect Marlena and pretty much would have tried to stop her from killing again.)
Father Jansen starts reciting stuff in Latin, and all of a sudden, the Devil enters Marlena!!!! Like, for real! But she is still handcuffed the the wheelchair. She is acting all crazy and stuff but Marlena's real voice says "Oh my gosh, Belle, please help me...help your mother!" So Belle is like "oh my god, mom, i'll help you!" Remember, Belle was but a wee baby-chile when Marlena was first possessed, so she doesn't know that Satan is a liar! (lol) So she goes to Marlena, and Marlena starts choking her out. It was HILARIOUS. I thinkt he writers know that many people don't like Belle/Kristen Storms, so they always have Marlena and Jan doing bad stuff to her in dreams and flashbacks.
Anyway, they save Belle and cast the demon out. But here is the clencher. Father Jansen says "Sorry folks, Malrena wasn't possessed when the murders happened."
"But how? Why?"
"I performed an INVOCATION first, essentially inviting a demon to use Marlena as a vessel. If she had already been possessed, the demons would have fought. But since a demon entered her with no hassle, that means no demon currently inhabited her."
Isn't that some crazy shit? a priest INVITING a demon up in someone to prove that there were no more demons in there!
So Bo said that's it, we're taking her downtown. So, Marlena is currently in jail.
MEANWHILE, the only other interesting thing developing is the relationship between Sami and Lucas. According to Soap Opera Digest, they will have sex this week. Woo-Hoo!
Jennifer/Patrick.....not sure about this one. Patrick has got some mystery behind him, and we're not toally sure if he was sent to scam or harm Jennifer in some way. Whatever the case is, he has told this myserious figure "I can't harm Jennifer."
Oh yeah, Phillip is probably going to try to keep Belle and Shawn apart, cuz he has feelings for her. And Jan built a cage in her house for Shawn to live in when she kidnaps him. Well, she hasn't specifically said she will kidnap him, but we all know it's coming.
