I know its important to get the word out, but I wonder if it would be better to spread the word on college campuses or in black magazines...whatever. Our black student union always have guest speakers coming on campus, I'm sure it is the same way on other campuses.

I see your point but for me it was "BOUT TIME OPRAH did a show on this." You know some folks think that OPRAH is the ISHT!!! Her comments and her ignorance on this subject scared me and saddened me at the same time. She cannot afford to be ignorant on this subject.

I really wish she would do a week long in depth expose on AIDS in the BLACK community in all of its facets -- teens, adults, senior citizens; hetero; homo; DL; etc etc etc

Oh and to those who thought that the 68 year old woman caught it from a man on the DL; i did not perceive it as such; I thought it was Oprah giving voice to those who get it at an older age when they assume that BC is not even a factor. I was not lead to believe that her partner was on the DL, just unprotected and promiscuous or even possibly given the year she got AIDS, her partner might have had a surgery and acquired it through tainted blood.
