i am fairly suprised at the advice you have gotten thus far.
the delts, for instance, are not really that "strong"... not because they arent nice guys but because they just started and have only recently managed to get rid of the strict "no alcohol" rules (which they had to follow while they were still a colony)... basically, there are about 27 dtds and maybe 5 are cool guys... with very few attractive girls hanging out ever as far as i can tell.
zbt, kappa sig, and phi sig are all pretty much the same ....ignored. zbt is a large collection of nerdy types while kappa sig is much smaller and arguably cooler but still socially impaired. phi sig is the lamest frat of all, with barely enough members to keep their house... and they like to think of themselves as kind of like a "secret society" (....uhh, cool).
avoid those houses unless you want a quiet row experience, and i cant imagine theta chi being any different.
i'm not gonna go into detail about the rest, but here is the rest of hierarchy from bottom to top, give or take...
7) delta chi, theta xi
---more cool (or at least less obnoxious in
some cases) guys in these houses than the
bottom tier but still out of the loop
6) pi kapp, sig ep
5) phi psi, ae pi, sigma nu
4.) sigma chi, ato (thought these frats are in some
ways total opposites)
3.) phi delt, lambda chi, (kicked off the row, not really worth
joining as they are on the decline, lamda
chi are pretty boys literally but the get a lot
of girls)
2.) pike, beta (beta would be the best but it was also booted off
the row, pike -and ato- have really scary pledge
semesters)
1.) sae (still have a monetary requirement, all wealthy guys and
athletes, the favorite of the sororities)
thats it, good luck.
if i offended anyone, i apologize.
