But the four women she "shadowed" didn't know she was a media person, didn't know she was going to use this to write a "tell-all" book. They just thought she was a normal person, from what I gathered. The author even admits in the prologue that had she made her intentions clear to these girls they would most likely not have been as open and as candid as they were.
After glancing through it today at B&N, I just have to
at it. It's nothing new--she brings up the same old stuff that's been dredged up before. It's really a dialogue of what any college student could experience during her time in school. It's overly sensationalized because it deals with the sororities. Most of her examples are things she garnered from old articles and other media. She just spins it to fit her book.
