No disrespect has been taken.
Sweet Angel,
If you were personally invited by a member, the courteous approach would be a card/note of apology with a thank you and brief explanation.
Otherwise, if you want to be part of the team, you have to get on the field!
Where there is a will there is a WAY.
Make NO EXCUSE.

I was wondering if you had any chance of being in a org. if you missed the informational at the beginning of the year...I have really late classes, so I wasn't able to make it to the sorority's informational. Do I/should I to wait until the next informational to express intrest? I know people in the sorority, but they aren't aware of my interest yet. So, what is the correct way to approach them with my intent to become a member? I don't want them to think that I'm disrespecting them or the org. I've seen the word discretion used...is it ok to e-mail them? I've already looked over the information on the website and have been around some of the members...is there anything else that I need to know? I want to make an educated choice... I know I'm probably asking for more than you are able to answer, but I truly appreciate any answer to my questions so I can further my quest...
