If you can save for orthotics, I would try. Foot problems can hurt your knees and back over time. even $250 to prevent knee pain is not a lot, when you think about how bad knee pain can be.

I would try Dr Scholls or some other kind of ready made orthotics to go into your existing shoes. Your doctor can give you an idea of what kind of shape will help make your pain go away.
