Apparently, American (USA) universities/colleges send out sweatshirts to the person when someone gets admitted to that school (e.g. "NYU" or "Santa Barbara" sweatshirts etc). Is this true?
Can people, clarify?
Thanks!

I don't know how it's like at most campuses, but I highly doubt that's the case. Perhaps it's like that for smaller colleges with a small entering Freshman class, but I don't think it's the norm.
I went to a State school with an entering class of about 7,000 and all I got was a letter saying, "Dear Sandy, we are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted into the Fall 1997 Freshman Class, now give us your freaking $100 intent to enroll fee."
