This is a hypothetical situation......
You have a keen interest in your organization of choice. You have done extensive research on the organisation and especially the chapter in your area. In doing this research you have learned that the chapter is not received very well...socially. They have never held an event with another chapter in the same small city. The members of the other chapter never come to any of theirs. You dont know about vice versa. In fact a member of another chapter attending a school in another state has told you that nobody likes that chapter for WHATEVER reason.
You have been contacted by the Membership chair and you are getting the feeling that all your hard work is gonna pay off. She informs you that you may be on the very short list

. With this information you decide to wait for your own personal reasons which are a priority. Your interests have not changed.
Recently the chapter has initiated some women. Unfortunately, even at their own school they get shaded. A memberfriend informs you that at the last round up nobody would take pictures with them

. And at a recent Black Fraternity's Ball other members of their organization would not stroll with them. (Quite unsisterly)
Your interest in this organization is way deeper than the chapter in your area whcih at most one (not you) would be a member of for 3 1/2 years. But deep down a part of the reason you are an interest of a sorority is to find sisterhood. Nothing is sisterly about being shaded

.
Question
Would you still procede to be initiated through that chapter? Or would you wait and work even harder to try to get invited on the graduate level. Opinions please...
