The reason I asked this question after she shared this with me was because the org. is ZPB and we both thought that there had to be time limits involved with MIPs in general.
Her understanding before going to the meeting and speaking with other greeks, was that if the rush/informational was this week the MIP and eventual (if she's invited for membership etc.) "crossing" would be completed by the end of Spring at the very latest.
When another guest at the event asked the chapter members she was told that they're not planning to "cross"/end the process until December.
My questions are:
(1) Could that just have been that chapter's way of "checking interest" or maybe just to get them prepared for a "process" that technically will NOT begin until the Fall?
(2) Is that "standard" for ZPB graduate intake?
It just seemed like a long time to her, that's all.
But like you said, only the prospective member can decide whether it's something they're willing to invest the time and effort in if that's truly a goal of thiers.

No one can answer this question better than the chapter in question. I would suggest asking the Membership Chair of the chapter in which a prospect is seeking membership.
Why is everyone in such a rush?
