My stepmother is super into earthquake preparedness and in HS she used to make me keep a bin in my car with earthquake supplies. I had a first aid kit, a whistle, a flashlight and batteries, a radio, flares, some of those emergency blankets, water and food. I had to replace the food (granola bars, and stuff that doesn't parish too easily) and water every few months. I also kept some cash and sweats in there just in case.
As much as I used to complain about keeping the stuff in my car it came in really handy more than once.

Sounds like some good stuff. How long is bottled water good for, seems like you could keep that for longer than a few months?
For Founders Day I'll still be in Germany, celebrating my last free weekend before summer semester classes start. I'll wear letters, but that's about it.
