My family does this to me all the time. I'll date a guy, and then when we break up, someone will inevitably say, "Well, I didn't want to say anything, but I knew he was totally wrong for you!" Well,
why didn't you do me a favor and
say so? Even if we do get mad, at least you'll know you tried.
