To each their own
On some of the fashion and accessory boards I belong to, the mere mention of a faux designer bag gets hoots and hollers of derision. I usually don't join in because it's not really my business.
I'm not a LV owner. If I do become one, though, I'll save the $480 or so and get a genuine Speedy. But I'm not going to clown somebody because they have a fake.
On the other hand, I have four Hermes Birkin replicas, not fakes. I refer to them as replicas because there's no indicia saying "Hermes Paris Made in France" on them. And I don't mind replica Hermes because who has $6K at minimum to spend on a handbag?
