Beth, not sure if this would interest you, but Webshots has tons of BEAUTIFUL photographs that you can download for free, especially in the community area. You can run searches on cities, Travel, etc., and really find some gorgeous pictures...
By the way, it's really sweet that you're doing this for your mom
