I agree with everything that's been stated above. This is a topic that I feel very strongly about.
It is the college's extension committee that decides who will be the best fit for the campus. It is not anyone else's place to be "handcapping" a sorority's chances of success. A third party cannot know exactly how many sorority alumnae are in the area. Nor can a third party know how many and what kind of resources the sorority is willing to devote to the colony. Unless you're IN the sorority in question, there is no way to know that for sure. Spreading inaccurate information could ruin a sorority's chances of extension, and I know no one wants to do that.
Please exercise the discretion and good sense that GCers are famous for.
