It's "la-va-leer." It couldn't be "la-va-lee-ay" anyway, because in French the "e" on the end of a word changes the ending sound to more of a short "e" instead of what we would think of as a long "a". So it could be "la-va-lee-err"...but I've never heard anyone say that.
