Still this association has nothing to do with dating and romantic relationships. Many of my sorority sisters are married to Kappas, Omegas, and Alphas. (I don't know any Iotas)
What I want to know is: Why do other organizations claim each other at all? (Not picking a fight)It is a genuine question. Is it just a term of endearment? What?

The other day, a Kappa that I didn't know called me soror. (still not picking a fight)
I didn't know what to do so I didn't say anything but hello. I decided to assume he meant 'soror" as in "hello, sister of a sorority."

I think that is a really good question. Being from VA, the bonds are very traditional. Deltas/Ques, AKAs/Alphas and Zetas/Sigmas. This is also how it was back in the late 1950s, when my parents were in college in South Carolina.
I have heard about, but never been to, a campus where the bonds aren't traditional. I have met individuals who don't care for these bonds, and therefore, do not show much Coleman Love, Phirst Phamily Love, etc.
I can only speak on Coleman Love, though. I will assume we all know how this bond originated, Frank and Edna Brown Coleman. Present day, there is a bruh and soror relationship that (usually) means that the two organizations are there to support and assist one another when necessary and/or possible. This bond is more intimate (as in deeper) than the Greek love that I would feel for a Kappa or a Sigma.
In our minds, and our hearts, you don't need a constitution to create or legitimize a bond. While Blue Love extends to areas of ZetaPhiBetaSigma that Coleman Love does not for Delta/Que, there is still a rich bruh and soror relationship.

Greek Love,
