The contents of his will were revealed and he didn't leave anything for his only surviving relative. Winfield's sister was left out of his will. Paul left his estate and his fortune to his lover's family. Winfield was very close to his lover's family. He was closer to them than he was to his own family and he wanted them to share in his wealth. Paul Winfield's longtime lover died two years ago and he had been depressed ever since. They were together for 30 years and friends say Winfield gave up on life. He was a diabetic and in the end he wouldn't take care of himself.
