I'm graduating May 1st with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering.

Then I'm going to Chicago for 3 weeks to wrap up 18 years of my life, and then I'll be driving a big ol' Penske truck back down here to move to a new apartment that's closer to work. (I wanted to buy a house, but I have no money for a downpayment and no time to look for one.)

Then June 1st I start my job with Boeing! I'm working at Kennedy Space Center in Space Shuttle Orbiter Thermal Protection System/Materials & Processing as an entry-level engineer. (In simple terms, that means tile, and a few random blankets scattered around the nose.) There is a slight chance that they may make me the design lead for Endeavour (OV-105) or Atlantis (OV-104), but those are just rumors that my co-workers are throwing me. I'm excited, but since I interned there last summer, it's like going back to work as opposed to starting a fresh new job.

I am so happy that "my dreams came true". This is the job I have always wanted.

Now good God, what nutcase trusts me to work on something we send into space!??!
