Gee, I didn't realize SMS had such a reputation for drinking. I've noticed a few fraternities who drink a ton, but there are also some who are people who know balance. I don't really drink all that much at all, and if I ever do, it's usually with restraint.
I think the key is to only join if you get along well with them and are compatible with your interests and hobbies.
