Upon telling my father that I wasn't thrilled about the idea of having to wait tables with a college degree, he replied that he hires all of his employees (he's a senior minister) with the understanding that if it comes down to the trash needing to be taken out, every employee-including him, the highest "manager" of the church- needs to be prepared to take it out.

So, yeah, maybe you don't want to be washing cars in a suit, but every place that you go and work... especially entry level... is going to have things that you'll have to do that maybe you don't want to. Whether it's washing cars or making coffee or taking out the trash, I think this is just something that ALL of us are going to have to face in this job market.
I agree with this. Sometimes you have to do things you don't want to do. But everybody's job is like that.

What I think is stupid is having your employess wash cars in their business suits because the compnay thinks custoemrs like to see that. Well I can tell you right now that I think it's stupid and it doesn't impress me.
Fine, if employess have to wash cars at least let them change into some grubby clothes and some coveralls. I don't want to walk into a car rental place and see the employee all wet and dissheveled because he/she was out washing cars in their suit.
