Maybe the pledgeship is "easier" than fraternities' but trust me, the getting the bid certainly isn't!

If guys had to go through formal rush like girls do (especially at a really Greek-heavy school) they would be screaming "stop hazing me!!" before the first day of parties was over. hee hee.
