and a bunch of table-manners related things. For example, I had to ask to be excused from the dinner table (which is fine). One day I asked to be excused and left... then my parents brought out dessert (they NEVER have dessert) and when I asked where mine was, they told me I couldn't have any because I'd already been excused.
