Jae I emailed you. But back to your questions. At this point you should not even be worried about pledging or MIP anything. If someday you make line all those standards and requirments will be revealed to you. First you need to get to know more than just one brother. One brother alone doesn't guarantee you making line. So know all the brothers of that chapter. Second I would say is to support the chapters activities. Even the boring seminars we Greeks sometimes put on. Why do I say this? More often then not, when you become a member you do more work than partying. I am also a member of a service frat and it's the same way there also. That's why when we party we party hard. It took many pain-staking hours for us to put that party together. Third, work on yourself and attributes. Trying to get into a fraternity or sorority is like applying for a job. We only want the BEST candidate. Remember you're not the only one interested in Kappa. Work on your grades and personal endeavors. Work at making yourself more marketable. Lastly, I assume since you're asking about making line you've already done your research. If not, you're behind. That's my advice.
