Multifunction machines are great.

They are pretty affordable compared to standalone units, they take up less space and typically also include a plain-paper fax.

The only downside to multifunction is that they are not economical to operate if you're considering printing large quantities. However, the ink tank tends to be larger than you'd find on a normal consumer printer.

For small offices they work great.
