I couldn't agree more, it's sad to see girls granted alum status just so they go out of sight and out of mind. We had many juniors who were just 'tired' of being active and didn't want to pay or participate anymore apply for alum status. Thus, many of then didn't get it because the chapter voted no. Then they generally stopped paying and disappeared anyway!
