Lightbulb New Squirrel needs advice!

Hello Sisters!
I recently pledged this fall at a great college with an outstanding AGD chapter. I felt like this was the place for me and I knew it the first night of recruitment. My first semester as a new girl was awesome, and I had a great time and even became a fraternity's pledge class sweetheart. I never really became close with any of the girls in my pledge class because it seemed like they had already made their own cliques. Lately I have regretted even joining a sorority because I feel like I am not getting what I expected out of it. I feel as though I don't really have any close friends in my sorority because the girls have already made their friends. I have tried to be very active in all the activities in order to get closer to some other girls. Does it get better when new girls next year come and I am an active or am I doing something wrong? I am so proud to be an Alpha Gam, but I'm just not getting anything out of it. I would appreciate your advice.
Thank you!
