Sorry, if this is short but I get bored easily when it comes to answering questions...
What's Greek life like at your school?
Our Greek system fluxuating. Numbers go up and down but a long history and one of the largest Greek systems on the West Coast.
How many sororities and fraternities do you have, what percentage of students are Greek, how involved are people within the Greek community?
I think we have 18 IFC and we have 11 NPC. As for cultural and NPHC, far too many to count. I would say close to 20.
What's your Tri Delta chapter like? What's your reputation on campus?
We have a strong reputation on campus, we had a couple of internal problems for a couple of years and it suffered but from what I hear, we are regaining our past position. We never dropped low, just I feel some girls got a little too full of themselves which leads to bad relations with fraternities. Our reputation on campus is a juxapostition. Although most would consider us, the classy "nice, good girls" or girlfriend sorority ( I literally went to at least 20 pinnings during my years in the house...I once had a KD ask me if we have a running tally of how many fraternity pins we collect). I think we at times plagued by the national "Tridelt, everyone else has" stereotype.
If you had to describe it in one word, what would that word be?
Respected and respectful
What's your housing situation like? Do you have a house or a dorm suite?
We have a house... a beautiful Spanish style originally built in the late 1920s. It's been redone a couple times and definitely needed a major overhaul but I still think it is gorgeous. I would say that literally all of our sorority houses are amazing, truly.
What's the prettiest Tri Delta house you've ever seen on another campus?
USC, by far. Their house was at one time a foreign consulate and a beautiful mahogany spiral staircase.
