But...my good friend is getting married in June. My piece of advice from watching her plan her wedding, is get your maid of honour to help you. That's what she's there for. Make sure your maid of honour is some you love and care about and that you know you can count on her. My friend's maid of honour started out not caring about her wdding and not helping out when my friend needed it the most. I ended up helping her a lot of the time until she finally sat down with her maid of honour and had a good long talk with her.
Now I don't mind helping out and I was happy to do so, but your maid of honour needs to be there for you.
So pick the girl you can count on, because when you need her (and you will need her) she'll be there for you.
