I know the feeling of needing a Chick-fil-a pilgrimage. I live an hour from the closest one which is in the Boston area.

I miss all the typical southern stuff: Good BBQ, real authentic Tex-Mex, Mrs. Baird's, Blue Bell, Whataburger, Sonic (which we get commercials for but don't have dammit!), etc.

One thing we do have is Popeye's chicken, which I find surprising. Also, my grocery store carries Rotel! I couldn't believe it!

Things up here that are strange:

They call a milkshake a "cabinet" (mostly at the diners/older places)

They serve coffee milk to kids AT SCHOOL as one of their milk choices.

Hot Weiners....gross...see the picture. It is sorta like a chili dog but that is NOT chili...I will NEVER try one!
