I am a Phi Kappa Psi California Delta Fall 2003 and I knew Jack, and attended his service held at Kappa Alpha Theta in January. Jack was a very personable kind of guy, and he was loved by everyone. The following was in the program at the service:
"Gone is Our Comrade"
from the Phi Kappa Psi Burial Manual
Gone is our comrade, gone our friend and brother,
Held in affection, as we hold each other,
Mournfully come we at his grave to render
Our tribute tender.
Bright were the hours that gave us sweet communion,
Strong were the ties that bound our mystic union,
Sacred the memories that our hearts will cherish,
Nor can they perish.
True heart and faithful, now his work is ended,
Passing from sight, by loving thoughts attended,
May the good Father bless this bond fraternal
