Alpha Omicron Pi chapters are able to choose their own chapter names. We do not follow a straight greek letter or state-letter system. Here's a list of our first 24 chapters:

2. Pi -- Sophie Newcomb/Tulane (10-8-1898 to1976; 4-19-1986 to 1995)**

5. Kappa -- Randolph-Macon Woman's College (4-13-1903 to 1960)**
6. Zeta -- U of Nebraska (6-5-1903 to present)
7. Sigma -- UC Berkeley (2-6-1907 to present)
8. Theta – DePauw 8-23-1907 to 1979; reinstalled 3-19-1983 to ?)**
9. Beta -- Brown (4-13-08) *
10. Delta -- Jackson College/Tufts (4-13-1908 to 1969; 4-11-1987 to present)
11. Gamma -- U Maine, Orono (4-16-1908 to present)
12. Epsilon -- Cornell (4-23-1908 to 6-1962; 5-6-1989 to present)
