The Girl Guide (i.e. Canadian) cookies are now made by Dare, but they were formerly made by Nabisco, who, if you trace the "lineage" through, is part of good ole' RJ Reynolds (yes, the tobacco company). So, yes, in theory, the Girl Guides were in bed with the devil, but no one really seemed to care. I have no idea why they switched to Dare but it was NOT because of the RJ Reynolds thing.
