Sageofages, I totally agree with you. I broke up with someone who I thought was the love of my life, but I realized after two years that it would never work out. It was one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make.
Five months later, after I forced myself to get back into dating again, I met my husband. That's when the light-bulb finally turned on. I feel exactly the same way you do! My husband's also a junk food fiend with unfulfilled dreams of being a rock star.

We've seen each other at our absolute best and our very worst, and I wouldn't trade him for the world.
Its the toughest job you'll ever love (sorry Peace Corps!) but it is so, so worth it.
