I know I should know better, especially given the number of black people who live there everyday, but I have never been to and am petrified of the state Mississippi. I can't help it, and its for so many movies that I have seen that I can't remember them all, i.e. Mississippi Buring, A Time to Kill, etc.
AND I was born in Georgia!! so its not like I've never been to the South.
I am also afraid of Texas, not because of any particular movie, but because of things I have always heard that have happend/go on there such as the huge number of executions, James Byrd being dragged, WACO incident, GWB (
), I could go on and on.
But, I am going there for law school so I guess I'd better get over that!! Reading you all's "Why I love Texas" thread was a bit therapeutic for me, thanks.
