eh....i know nothing of the chi, BUT if you have semi wavy hair and want it to be strait for a lot cheaper, i have this flat iron brush type thing that you use when you dry your hair and its amazing and only cost at most $8. i got it at target, and its amazing
i dont know how well it would work if you had really curly hair, my hair is just sorta curly when i air dry it
