Well I decided to let you all know what Psi Phi has up it's sleeve.
I.Services Provided Fall 2003 (for whom and where) Impacted!
a. Zeta Phi Beta Child Safety Fair
i. Hosted Tables and Display Boards at the fair for children in the community. Taught about the differences between good and bad touch, drugs, alcohol, steroids, March of Dimes, etc.
b. Organ Donor Orientation & Organ Donor Table (2 Days)
i. Members went through an orientation on Organ Donation so we could present the information to the student body. Hosted table in the student center to inform student body.
c. Voter Registration (2 Days)
i. Hosted a table registering students to vote.
d. Operation A.C. (2 Days)
i. Raised money to buy heating units and air conditioning units for the troops in Iraq.
e. Graduate and Professional Student Fair (Set-Up)
i. Assisted the Graduate Office in setting up for the fair.
f. Graduate and Professional Student Fair Reception
i. Attended the Reception to show support of the University and accept service award.
g. Organizational Fair
i. Hosted table to show support of the General Assembly and publicize our fraternity.
h. Breast Cancer Walk
i. Traveled to Memphis to participate in the Breast Cancer Walk. Supported by AmeriPride.
i. Meter Pick Up
i. Distributed the Meter on Campus. Monday’s
j. AIDS Walk
i. Hosted in Nashville. Walked in support of victims of AIDS.
k. Angel Tree Drive
i. Manned Angel Tree, taking up donations for underprivileged children in the Nashville area.
l. Fall Conference Service Project: Bingo
i. Played Bingo at a Retirement Home in Columbia, Kentucky
m. Haunted House (Set-Up)
i. Assisted in the Set-Up of the Annual STD Haunted House
n. Gaylord
i. Helped man 2 concession stands at Gaylord Entertainment Center
o. Breakfast in the Dorms
i. During National Service Week, we provided breakfast in the dorms each morning for the students.
p. Adopt –A- Phone Drive
i. Collected old, damaged, and broken cell phones. Phones were programmed to dial 911 and donated to domestic abuse shelters for battered women.
q. Book Drive
i. Collected children’s books for underprivileged children in the Nashville area.
r. Bone Marrow Drive
i. Hosted a Bone Marrow Drive. Signing up students to donate bone marrow. In order of Cheyenne Alexander *8year old little girl with leukemia*
s. Feed the Campus
i. Served food in the cafeteria, helped clean up.
t. Campus Cook Out
i. Cooked hamburgers and hotdogs for the campus. Hired a d-jay for entertainment.
u. Campus Clean Up
i. Cleaned up the Campus Center and removed old flyers in buildings and dorms around campus.
v. Small Wonders
i. Run Cub Scout meetings for underprivileged cub scouts at Small Wonders Day Care. *Every Monday*
