THe Chi has Ceramic plates which are supposed to be less damaging to hair and let it get hotter... (WHich in turn helps straighten better) and it does they are great... but I can safely say as long as it's ceramic it's *probably* going to work just as well... I own a CHI and I === HEART === it MUCHO
