Fuck it- it's disrespectful to laugh at ANY movie in which the people around you are crying/somber....it's just common decency to STFU. It was like they came to ruin the movie for everyone else- we're talking, laughter over EVERYTHING. They show a basket of bread, the guy dissolves in laughter. There are clouds moving in the sky and he and his wife are CTFU. I couldn't believe it...so finally (with ten minutes left) I asked him to try to stop because it was really distracting. He apologized- I only wish I would have done it sooner.
What a jackass.

I can't believe that! He and his wife were laughing??

You're right - that is disrespectful. You shoulda said "Hey - this is a movie about Christ, so shut up jackass!" -- heehee - can only imagine the looks you woulda gotten
I haven't seen it - probably won't. I don't do well with these types of movies -- not that its anywhere on the same level what-so-ever, but after I saw Legends of the Fall (or, as it is better known - "Everybody including the cow in the fence dies") I was depressed for weeks. I certainly don't think I would do well watching this, but I do wish the movie all the success in the world. I am enjoying hearing everyone's thoughts on it after they have experienced it.
JAM - I loved your post - great job as usual!!
