I love the Irish wake.....My dad's family is what I call "good ole, Chicago Irish catholic" and as such the wake's are a party, vigil-style!
When my dad's father died, his wife (my step-grandma) was so stoggy. She wouldn't allow a "real" wake...so they set up the bar in the men's room at the funeral home. TOO funny to watch women sneak into the men's room for a bit of cheer to send Grandpa off with
