I didn't think of that; great idea.
Actually, what I ended up doing was to give him some of my old tee-shirts and also show him the two jerseys. I told what they were, when I got them, why they were special, and that I couldn't give them to him because he is not a member of the Fraternity, but that I would let him wear them for now. His answer was "maybe when I'm in college I will join that club (as he calls it), and then you can give them to me." Mission accomplished!
Then he asked me about the colors ("are these the colors for the club?") and we talked about the funny letters -- he thought the word "Alpha" was much funnier than the "Phi."
